Thank's
I enjoy so much reading you. All I can say is that I agree with what you are saying at the end. I often feel the same way,
Thank's again!

Thanks for reading it through Greg. I don't have my notes with me so will write from memory. I don't think I treated the scars on the first treatment, or may have only done 1 or 2. I have had some strong responses to treating scars, so was cautious with so many scars and on the first visit. I often treat the Chong Mai for abdominal scars. Usually Sp 4 and St 30. Over subsequent treatments I did treat the scars more. I only use very superficial needling on each end and a couple along the course of the scar. I didn't use a plum blossom hammer. But, not a bad idea, I just didn't think of it. I use 2 moxa sticks held together and go over the scars until they are red and the skin quite warm.
Some of the other points I remember using, Du 23 to calm shen, Lu 7 with Kid 6 to facilitate the up and down (vertical) circulation of qi. Lu 7 also to irrigate the brain with qi and thereby calm the mind. Liv 3 also with Kid 6 for the vertical circulation. St 25 for the intestines. St 36 to nourish qi and blood. Pe 6 for the epigastric distress.
Hope that helps

Interesting Case Greg. I would like to know which acupuncture points you focused on during this course of treatment, and did you address the scar source with plum blossom as a primary focus. Thanks!
